    Awesome! Glad to hear it!

I think that falls under “thought leadership.” You’re establishing yourself
as an expert and thus people trust you and your voice when you sell
something of value to them. Think so?

Teasers are great. Everyone loves sneak previews!

    Tim good list and explanation.

I appreciate this video, but as a small business owner I have been
struggling to figure out the best ways to use YouTube. For the most part we
have been creating videos that show off our work and hoping to increase our
subscribers and Facebook followers, hoping it might boost SEO. I have
considered “how to”, testimonials, & storytelling about the company, but
budget and timing are difficult. I believe a poorly made low quality video
w/ rough audio could easily turn away potential buyers.

I have a question, what websites are good beside youtube and social media
to put your video on? a lot of viral videos seem to become viral because
they were featured on a video website. Do you know any of those websites??

  14. ReelSEO February 2, 2014 at 8:40 pm #

It can, but assuming your thumbnail does a better job at enticing
click-throughs, it can often help it perform better.

Hey Tim, I know your channel is targeted toward “video marketers”, but I
was wondering if you could do an oddball episode (a series would be even
better) on how other youtubers can grow a bigger fan base, like gamers,
bloggers, comedians, song writers, etc. I’m sure your infinite knowledge on
internet videos can pull it off! Robert

    good video

The information I got from you is very helpful. I have never been so
educated with regard to video marketing until now. Now that I know the pros
and cons of video marketing, I am pretty sure I will be able to maximize
the opportunity of getting more website traffic and making more sales with
    the use of it. Great!

I made a couple “How To” videos that aren’t technically ‘selling’ anything,
and any ‘providing a service’ element they have is simply in free
information for those who may be interested, but they both have become
popular enough that I am contemplating how to adapt such ideas into
something with a financial back-end for me on it. Is such a thing even
related to what you are expressing here? I seem to be in a sort of grey

really best options for marketing videos…….

  20. UnbounceVideos February 2, 2014 at 11:49 pm #

Good pro-tips! Do you have any suggestions on the best strategy to
distribute your marketing videos separately from your content videos? I
don’t see any of ReelSEO’s product focused videos on your main YouTube
Channel. Where’s the best place you’ve found to put your marketing videos
so that they’re easy to find and convert effectively?

    Great video!

Good tips as usual Tim! I think it’s also important to point out that some
companies are afraid to put too much product/tutorial video out there in
fear of their competitors. Transparency really is key though because if the
company doesn’t do it themselves, often times we find that their customers
are doing it for them anyway. They might as well be in control and produce
higher quality and more accurate content on their products!

I really like the FilmRiot commercials. Ryan’s silly website domain ideas,
and the absurd scetches like Emily slaughtering people for failure to use promo code… It’s rare that a show get requests for publishing
their commercials stand alone just because people want to share the
commercials easily, but FilmRiot makes that popular commercials sometimes.

Hmm…other than(maybe someone like) Ghandi, I’m not sure if there is
potential money in “thought leadership” is there? One vid mentioned is on
making a Clapperboard, the other on Garage Storage Cabinets. I was thinking
of starting some on editing tho, but haven’t been able to find a software
that displays my (iMovie) editing process without being “choppy” when
showing what I just edited. Know of one, free or reasonably priced?

Storytelling is a great way charities use to promote themselves. Success
stories as well as “can you help”.
